People can never be satisfied

There are people who will never be happy with you. If you’re happy they’ll ask why you’re happy all of a sudden and say that you’re acting weird.

If you’re angry they’ll say that you should be nice.

If you’re distant they say you’ve got an attitude.

If you’re sad they say you’re a negative person acting oppressed as you’re under a tyrant rule.

If you don’t like talking to people they say you’re rude.

If you’re sleeping they say omg are you even alive. Quit being a lazy bones.

If you’re being introverted they say you’re losing your mind and should probably be sent to an asylum.

If you try fitting in they just say you’re changing.

If you’re not trying they say you’re proud.

They’ll never like you. You hate people around you because if you do have someone around you then you’ll have to interact with them and then …. You probably know the rest of the story.

Quit being a people pleaser

Living to please others is something we should let go of. I hated it when people disliked something about me. I would change my likes and dislikes to their likes and dislikes but it has never helped me.

Being a people pleaser kinda eats you from the inside. It makes you feel like you’re not enough and you know what? You’ll never be enough for people who require pleasing. Get that through your mind.

Don’t change yourself for people.

I was a person who didn’t have a personality of her own. I would be different with different people. I would study the people the first week after our introduction and everything and become the kind of person they liked.

But there came a time when I had a lot of questions in my mind like:

1. Can I not be myself with people?

2. Should I care if they don’t like the way I am?

That’s when I became myself. That doesn’t mean that I became a rude person or anything but what it means is that I stopped pleasing people.

Because it was affecting my health in a bad way. It is overwhelming when you have to act the whole day. Act a person who’s not you. You cry yourself to sleep sometimes. Look into your reflection and ignore your beauty and cuss at your flaws instead.

Keep one thing in your mind, everyone. You are amazing. What people think and say is their problem, not yours. Don’t mistreat people. Stay humble.

Be true to yourself. Be you.

What time does to you…

I met a woman today who used to be our neighbor when I was 8 years old. She had an amazing soul. Her husband died of an electric shock back then so she lived alone.

And now after almost 10 years I met her again. I went back to see how she was because I was in the city and I needed to meet her.

And oh god what time does to you. There I saw an old woman who had problem walking, her house which used to literally shine was now filled with dust and dirt.

I couldn’t help but cry. She had turned old. What time does to you is out of your hands people.

Take care of the old people around you no matter who they are. It doesn’t matter if they’re nice to you or not. It doesn’t matter if you’re related or not. Take care of them.

Give them unconditional love and they’ll smile at you, they’ll pray for you and I think that’s the best reward you can get back for the love you give.

My first Online UNV task !

Hey guys !

Today I’m very excited because I’ve been accepted for a task of UN. To be very honest I was not expecting to be accepted for any task at all because of not having an official volunteer experience but I got accepted.

So, my first task was for the elderly Covid-19 awareness for Kenya. Raising awareness is something I’m good at so it wasn’t much of a challenging task for me.

Well ignore the ‘was’ because technically I’m still performing this task.

I need your help as well. Help me perform this task efficiently. And follow me on twitter as well I’ve tweeted regarding this cause it’ll mean a lot if you could retweet those tweets.
